Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
While our department does not offer training to become a certified EMT, several colleges and private companies in the area do offer classes.  Massachusetts Office of Emergency Medical Services guidelines require completion of a certified course that provides a minimum of 110 hours of instruction and CPR certification before a candidate may take the certification exam.

The Bedford Fire Department does not endorse or sponsor any specific EMT training program.  For a complete list of certified providers, visit the OEMS website.
