John Daniels, who has been a firefighter with the department for 10 years was promoted to Lieutenant on January 20, 2010. 

John had previously been promoted as a provisional Lieutenant and had worked in the Fire Prevention Division and also as the Officer in charge of Group 2, where he will be assigned as a permanent Lieutenant of the Bedford Fire Department.
